Dr. Ian White, PhD, is a renowned expert in regenerative medicine and stem cell biology, with over two decades of experience driving innovation in both academia and industry. His distinguished career began with a B.S. from Liverpool John Moores University and an M.S. from the prestigious Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. At Dartmouth College, his groundbreaking work on the genetics of gamete biology set the stage for his recruitment to Harvard University, where he collaborated with Dr. Laurie Glimcher on hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and immune cell biology. Dr. White’s pioneering development of an in vitro method to culture expand autologous HSCs revolutionized cancer treatment protocols and led to the commercialization of his technology by Cornell University, establishing Angiocrine, LLC as a leader in HSC expansion.

Currently, Dr. White continues to break new ground in regenerative medicine. His post-doctoral work on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) under Dr. Stephen Dalton advanced the field significantly, while his collaborative research on cardiac regeneration at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine has earned him numerous accolades, including the “Best Manuscript” award from the American Heart Association.
